Boundries and limits are definitions of closure created by mind. For many it’s the end and for few others it’s the beginning. It is this cycle of change which shapes our life. The small diamond with more facets is costlier than the bigger one with less or no facets. These facets of life are gifts from nature which again and again push us to the limits and leave behind memories, burns, success, sorrow, happiness, relations and all other objects of life. The true spirit to live life is to take it as it comes and never forget to celebrate every passage of wave because any time the ride can end.
Japan (Nippon), the island country of Asia continent is one such diamond which has more facets than many other bigger Nations. The sunshine country truly has taken shocks after shocks and has rebounded much better every time. Surrounded by giants like China, Russia, Korea and Taiwan, Japan has a long and one of the most challenging histories. Be it threat from China or nuclear bombs from US, Japanese Island and the people had shown their metal to the world when they reformed themselves especially during 1960 to 1980 (also known as “Japanese Miracle”). And currently Japan is the second largest economy in the world.
But how they came so far? If we look at 1945 (Last year of World War II) two of the Japans biggest industrial areas were destroyed by US nukes and the estimated human loss was in range of 100,000 and another 100,000 due to cancer in next 5 years. At the receiving end of the biggest catastrophe, Japan has/could have collapsed and mitigated itself into a weaker nation. Losing World War II was not just the loss of human life and resources, but it left Japan with a population who has witnessed a moral and technical defeat. With such pragmatic intricate situation looking for the stature of power, the country must have strong determination, stamina and rigidity. And that is what Japan shown to the world. Currently ranked 61st country by area, Japan is the third largest steel producing country and comes only after China and European Union. How it can produce steel without any mines?
The remarkable turn around which Japan successfully achieved, is not due to technology, dictatorship, government policies etc. but solely because of the attitude of the citizens. It’s the Japanese way which transformed their country and makes it rise from ashes like a Phoenix.
To be continued…
Some of the world class Japanese companies are:
Bridgestone, Denso, Fuji, Fanuc, Honda, Mitsubishi, Nikon, Panasonic, Toyota, Sony, Yamaha etc. and the list can go on and on and on.
